WALKING

I have starting walking. I started maybe a little over a month ago - off and on. The last 3 weeks or so I have been pretty faithful going in the mornings before work. Beautiful time of the day. I was averaging a mile or so a day. This weekend I increased my distance - kind of by accident. Sunday I just started walking and did not stop - I walked maybe 2 1/2 miles. So I thought- hmm I can do this. Monday I walked a distance of 4 miles = 1 1/2 hours. I did it again Tuesday, Wednesday and today. I am so proud of myself - but I am so sore. My shins are very sore - Yes big sister I did stretch - before during and after I walk. I find stretching during the walk makes your body feel better and can keep going. Tomorrow I go into work earlier so I won't have the same amount of time to walk - but that's OK, I will make it up doing something else - or walking at night with my family. Walking - it's a good thing.
